The Captain?s Cabin is a unique Scottish Gift and Craft Shop, situated on the corner of Quay Street and Shore Street, directly above Lochbroom Hardware and next to The Ullapool Bookshop, in the beautiful village of Ullapool, Ross-shire. The Captain?s Cabin was first established as a Gift and Tea shop in 1946 by Mrs Constance Mitford of Lochbroom. The website has been designed locally in Ullapool by Steve Douglas, www.steve-douglas.com
We are very blessed at times over the winter to have experienced some wonderful sunrises as we arrive for work. Here’s one which was photographed a few days ago as we arrived in Quay Street, Ullapool.
The world famous Ullapool Creel Christmas Tree is taking shape and here was the view along West Shore Street this weekend just before the creels were added. Very soon the whole fabulous display will illuminate Ullapool courtesy of Ullapool Fire and Light fund. We can’t wait for the light switch on, so put the date in your diary of November 29th at 5.30pm. Late night shopping will also be available throughout the village that evening. #shoplocal #christmaslights
